Maharaja

When I was a kid, I had the pleasure of flying the nicer side of Air India and we had one of these guys (photo courtesy India Today) in our home. There was something majestic about this dude and I feel like I always wanted to grow up to be him. I think I've figured out what I was missing and I'm on my way, one step closer.

Getting real close to start twisting the ends :)

On a side note, one must be careful not to become this guy

What almost could have been my UK visa face

Day 18. Spent an eternity trying to find balance. I had initially started out with handlebars but was a victim of lopsided heavy-handedness. Still, happy with the result. The nice thing about letting a beard grow was there was very little maintenance required. The bathroom mirror is mine to monopolize now.

Mr. Roberts, over to you.

Day 14. My face tingles

Camaraderie all around. Here is a link from a reputable source to the story Pedro mentioned about cops in India being paid to grow a mustache.

Our reward, however, shall not be monetary but rather focus on self-actualization (side note: shout out to Abraham Maslow who also rocked a guess what?) and - individual experiences may vary - nirvana.

Pedro stands tall in staching it out from beginning to end and the nobility of said gesture is unrivaled. I plan to join you in upper-lip boldness beginning November 24, 2013. Til then:
